Bira Beach –South Sulawesi

Conclution : Bira, for centuries the home of south sulawesi’sboat building. Bira still plays an important role in the sea faring industry. There harbors, two for prahus, and one for ferries,compliment excellent white sand beach with clear water for swimming.daily ferries depart to selayar island,which was an historic trading center in 14­­­th century.home of lovely beaches,it also boast a 2000 year old Vietnamese dong son drum.

Bira Beach is famous cape for its beautiful and pleasant white sand beach.its water is clear and its good for swimming and diving.in front side,there is a small island with white sand spreader a long it.bira beach is situated approximately 41 kilometers toward the east of the bulumkumba.nearly of the cape there one place for making traditional boat the name of the place is tana beru.in this dry boat,it can see a great amount sailing boats are being made in varius size.

Bira beach is a great place for snorkeling and diving lovers.the gorgeus perl white sand beaches are great for a romantic walk.daily ferries depart to selayar island;it is a quiet place with beautiful beach,some time you will see dolphins swimming when you are lucky.the seawater is crystal clear and the shore is quiet.bira is lovely exotic place when you don’t like busy tropical beaches.

One of the greates traditional sailing boat “pinisi nusantara “was also made there.this boat hs sailed to the pacific ocean,and the othersailing boat is “Ammanagappa “which has sailed until Madagaskar.

South sulawesi has many tourism pbject like,water fall,lake, beach etc.one of the famous beach in south sulawesi is bira beach.it’s an interesting and beautiful beach.there are many people from other place even rom abroad come there to spent their holiday.

Near from my Campus

MY BOARD

Mannuruki street is central of boarding House. It is at behind of state Islamic university of Makassar( UINM ), until behind of state makassar of university. Most of house is boarding House in this area, because this area is between two state university in makassar in my board is behind of Babul Jannah Mosque and it is behind of Mannuruki II street its name NEPO.

My board is two stories board the first floor is made from cement and the second is made from wood. All its wall is made from corrugated iron sheets until its roof.

If we look from out side, my board that looks like letter U. at the right side there are ten Rooms, five Rooms at the first floor, and Five rooms at the second floor and the other side too. So value of all rooms at twenty rooms in my board. At the point side is common bathroom, it is rectangular. Its wall and floor are made from cement, except its roof is made by zinc.

In the middle of my board is squeky stairway is made by wood, at the top of stairway there is rectangular Veranda toward at the right side and to the left side of my board. I have to pass stairway every time I go to my room. Because is my room at the second floor, at the middle of left side.

Every room is separated by plywood. In every room devide three rooms are living room, bad room and kichen. So we can do all many activity in our room such as cooking, studying, eating, except take a bath. There are two wooden windows in every room one of at the side of door and one also at the behind of that room.

All accupants of my board are girls they are friendly, to every one we always help each other if some one have a problem respect to older so it is created a good brotherhood. In my mine my board is good place for student like me it is near from my campus and its good atmosphere for studying.. all accupants always help each other and it make us like a big family.

Introduction:

-Big flood in my village

-there was a river in the middle of my village

-Hard rain caused he river overflow

-Villager evacuated in higher place

-Damage rice plan

Concluding:

-Flood deactivated daily activities of villager

-It caused big financial loss of villager

FLOOD

Two years ago, there was an event that mad us trauma. That was a big flood in my village. It was the biggest flood that ever happened. There was a river in the middle of my village, surrounded by settlement of villager. None of us never supposed that it would be a calamity, because all this time the river never overflow, but at that time, hard rain caused the river overflow and it created a big flood.

At that time was rainy season, and it always rain most of every day. We didn’t too care about it because up till at that time rainy season never made the river overflow. But it was different with the last, hard rain for two days caused big flood. Firstly water of river rose nearly reached dike of river, slowly pass by dike and flowed into the settlement of villager and the rain had not stopped yet.

People begin panic. They yelled “river overflow..!!! river overflow….!!!! Flood…flood…” several houses was near from the river began soaked by water. Villager worried for this situation. Water rose slowly, and it was still hard rain. People who lived nearest from the river began saved their cost item such as electronics item, motorcycle, clothes, supplies and main items other, then they carried into the safe zone.

When the day of the rain, most of houses had soaked by water. It was about 1 meter. Rubbish was float everywhere. Only several people looked still staid at their home, and tried to save their cost items. The other people evacuated in higher place. Several families other staid in a mosque of Nurul Husain, one of mosque in my village. The mosque was in higher place too.

At the time student and officer in my village were given vocation because the building of their school was used as camp by villager. So, the student couldn’t study like usually. And officer couldn’t work in their office because their office soaked by water too. Flood soaked farm fields too. It damage rice plant so many farmer were suffer a financial loss.

Flood deactivated the daily activities of villager. Because most of place soaked by water so people couldn’t do their activity as usually. Flood caused big financial of villager too. Specially for the farmer, because their plant was broken and couldn’t repaired again.
