Multimedia library

Makassar is large city located in the eastern of Indonesia. In other that, it’s also as a tourist destination city because there are many interesting places which can be visited by the tourists. Makassar is a tourist and education city. It’s signed by the various education institutes such as schools, collages, course places and the most important is library. It is the source of knowledge. One of the most visited library by people is multimedia library. It’s located in jl. Sultan alauddin , in front of Unismuh. Beside large, it has also a beautiful park.

Multimedia library located in front of Unismuh. It different from others because it has large area, beautiful park and rest places that are used by students to hold meeting club or gathering with their friends. In front side, there is a security post and a gate. After passed the gate, you can see beautiful garden around it road. It decorated by the various of plants and flowers, like hibiscuss, rose, casuarine trees, palm trees, and grass that grow around the plants. There are two small buildings around the park . it’s floors made of tile / ceramics, and it’s roof made of roof – tile. And it’s measurement more and less 12 m2.

You can see a wall that is decorated by rising painting beside the library. There is also a big mango tree in front of the library that is usually using by people for parking . the people also hold a meeting under the tree because it is cold and comfortable.

Inside the library, there is a miniature of Makassar. If you enter to the library, your feeling become fresh and cold because of air conditioner. In front side of the library, there is a lavatory for male and female. In the next room, there is a made of wood. It is used to store our bag and other things we bring. On the left side of this room, there is an internet room where consists of seven units of computer. The right side, there some units of computer, desks, and tables that is used by the staff.

In the in the next room is reading room. It consists of many kinds of books, such as religion books, science, literatures, tribe and art books. These books are arranged as tidy as possible and parallel each other. The tables for reading are arranged parallel too, so we can study well and read with enjoy.

Library is a place where you can find something you want to increase your knowledge. Multimedia is one of the library in makassar that is visited by students because it’s place is strategic , large, and comfortable, and also enable for each visitors can study well.

NARRATIVE ESSAY

INDONESIA IS CRYING

Indonesia is a development country with more than 200 million people. Indonesia is a democratic country has fertile land and over flow of natural resources. It has been independent in 1945 and has some changes in many sectors especially I development sector. However, since president soeharto retired as Indonesian president meny problems kept coming . staple supplies cost increase and many trouble like disaster come to our country.

In 1998, demomnstration was happened in everywhere. They demanded president soeharto to descend from his duty. Finally, on may 1998, president soeharto retired and replaced by his vice namely Bj. Habibie. Under habibie’s administration, politics and economics situation became stable. Politics and economics stabilization was better than before. But, it’s only for several months. After Bj. Habibie replaced by president Abdurrahman wahid ( gusdur ) politics and economics situation were not stable anymore. Conflicts and riots were happened in many places.

In the next year, Indonesia was suffer again. There were many disaster were happened from sabang to merauke. For instance : earth quake in java island, tsunami, flood and landslide. Even, airplane accident was happened every year. As the matter of fact, Indonesia was being famous as disaster country. flood and landslide were happened every year and became annual agenda for Indonesia. The government has tried to solve these problems. There are many efforts have been done, for example : socialization of reforestation, asking people to keep forest, and making a dike to prevent the flood. But there is no result. Every year, disaster happened more and more.

In 2002, Indonesia was caused a stir with bomb Bali I and II that defeated tend of local and foreign tourists. It made foreign tourists afraid to visit Indonesia because they thought about their safety. Ever after, Indonesia was being famous as terrorist country, because there were many terrorism action in some p[laces, like explosion bomb in JW. Marriot, kuningan bomb, and also makassar bomb that defeated tens people.

In 2004, the oil drilling of lapindo brantas was broken down. As a result, some places around the factory were soaked by mud. Even, many houses sank in ronokenongo, sidoarjo. It made the means of transportation couldn’t be used. The government and the owner of lapindo namely bakrie group tried to find solution of this problem. Many efforts had been done but there were no result. And it was happened until now. Our nation suffering is not only that, corruption and nepotism that is done by the government functionaries make our nation more suffer. These greedy functionaries make society’s live became more difficult than before.

Actually, Indonesia has many natural resources. But everything has been lost because of human greed. Natural disaster become annual agenda in Indonesia. May be, this is a temptation or warning from our god ALLAH SWT because of our greed and faults. Indonesia has got three awards, they are the most corrupt nation, terrorist country, and disaster country. Whose fault is it ? this is a really difficult question to answer. We just expect to our god , so that our country can be prosperous and far from disaster.
