Feeling disappointed waiting for lecturers
Body : Beginning of having the first subject in the morning
Feeling confused waiting for the lecturers until 12:15 in the afternoon.
Feeling better after having a subject at 03:40 PM
Feeling disappointed waiting the last subject at night.
Conclusion : I felt disappointed almost the whole day
Lecturers should be more professional with their jobs.
Hoping the lecturers understand their position and our sacrifice

A Boring Day Waiting Lecturers
at Campus of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar

Friday, January 8, 2008 was a day when I felt very confused and disappointed. I had subjects at my campus in the morning until night. You know, I live at about 28 kilometers from my campus and it needs almost an hour to arrive at my campus. I went to the campus with a big spirit hoping that I could enjoy all of my subjects. At 8:00 o’clock in the morning, I had arrived at campus and then ran in a hurry to my class hoping that I was not late. But it was next to nothing, I just enjoyed one subject until night. I felt disappointed waiting for the lecturers. It was my boring day waiting for them.
I am a collegian from Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. On that day, I had some subjects in the morning until night. At eight o’clock in the morning, I arrived at campus and then came to the class in a hurry. But I didn’t find my lecturer. Waiting for her until nine o’clock made me bored, so I left the class and came to the library trying to omit my confusion. At 10:20 AM, I had a class again but I hope it wasn’t like the previous subject. On the other hand, it was same with the previous one. I felt bored waiting my lecturer again, so I went to Multimedia Library in front of my campus for studying and reading a book until Friday prayer.
After having Friday prayer, I came back to the campus to have a subject at 2:10 PM. Until 3:30 PM, the lecturer didn’t come. But it was treated at 3:40 PM. The lecturer came and I said “thank goodness for coming”. After feeling better having the subject, I went to Multimedia Library to have an English meeting with my friends until the sun set.
At seven o’clock in the evening, the rain fell down hard. Once again I waited my lecturer patiently for the last subject. Actually he lived near the campus. Until 8:30 PM, he didn’t come. I felt disappointed at the time. I had wasted my time too much at campus waiting for them who didn’t come. I had many jobs to do at home but I canceled them because I thought having the subjects was more important to do than finishing my job.
It was a boring day for me waiting the lecturers. I felt very disappointed. They should be more professional with their jobs. Many times were wasted next to nothing. Maybe they never thought that we have some jobs need finishing outside. I hope the lecturers at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar can understand their position as a partner of the students and realize our sacrifice to have our subjects at the campus.

Muhammadiyah University of Makassar

Many students continue their study at university every year. They follow some tests of selection of new student requirement offered by every campus. In Makassar, thousands students try to register themselves into the state universities, like Hasanuddin University and Makassar State University but not all of them are passed the tests. To continue their study, they prepared another choice. They register themselves at some favorite private universities. One of them is Muhammadiyah University of Makassar.
Muhamadiyah university is a favorite choice to continue our study. It requires thousands students every year. It lies on Sultan Alauddin street in Makassar. In front of this campus, we can find two the biggest libraries in Makassar, they are South Sulawesi Library and Multimedia Library of Makassar. On the right side of this campus, there are Yanti supermarket and Mozila internet shop. On the left side we can see Pertamina fuel pump. Therefore, this campus looks strategic and easy to get there.
When we enter this campus, we will see some large buildings. The first building we’ll see is Muhammadiyah Library at the front side of this campus it lies on the first floor of C building. At the second floor, there are admission office and the office of university head. Under these offices, there is a computer lab. On the right side of C building, we can see a big auditorium namely D building used for theater and wedding party or other big programs.
On the right side of the auditorium, there is a three-floor building namely G building used for technical lab and studying. Behind the auditorium, there is the highest building consists of many classes for studying and several rooms for Faculties and students organizations namely F building. We can find Social and Politic Faculty, Islamic Education Faculty, and Agriculture Faculty on the first floor of this building.
On the left side of C building, there is a coffee shop and a big mosque namely Al Amin. It consists of two rooms, for boys and girls. Behind the mosque, there is a big building looks like letter U. it is A building on the left, AB building in the middle and B building on the right. The first floor of this building is used for Junior and Senior High School of Muhammadiyah. On the second floor, there are two faculties and some departments. They are Economy Faculty, and Teacher training and Education Faculty with its departments. On the third floor there are a listening room and some classes.
Everyday, this campus is busy. Many collegians spread away around the campus. Even, every class contains fifty students. They have their subjects the whole week. The study activities are on until nine o’clock at night. Therefore some collegians come back home at night. The condition of this campus is really crowded every day.
Muhammadiyah is one of the biggest campuses in Makassar. It contains thousands students and it’s crowded. Many students are interested to enter this campus not only because it’s cheaper than other universities, but the lecturers are competitive too. Now, Muhammadiyah becomes one of the best competitors of the state universities in Makassar.
